In 2004, the DeBrady crew did a project with the both the grade 6 and the grade 11 classes at the Victor Brodeur French Immersion School in Victoria BC.

The design for the grade 6 class was selected as stained glass collage. The “fleur-de-lies” surrounded by butterflies and flowers represents the French Community in Victoria “the city of gardens”. The components in this panel were made entirely by the students. They cut the glass pieces, ground each piece to fit, foiled each individual piece, then soldered them in position on the panel.

The leaded glass panel done by the grade 11 class was from a design done by one of the students. It incorporates the “fleur-de-lie” symbol and represents the students soon to graduate and reach out into the adult world.
